WHY JOIN ROTARY?

We want to make our community and the world a better place. We have a variety of charities and projects that we support both financially and with our volunteer time. You will grow personally and develop many new friends while we work together to make our community a better place.

No other local organization provides this breadth of engagement

LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

We are Lakewood communities leaders. We converse, share ideas and take action.

Rotary is where business meets community service. Lakewood Rotary regularly brings together a large and diverse group of civic, business, and professional leaders with an interest in service, networking and fellowship.

VOLUNTEER & COMMUNITY SERVICE

We live our motto of “service above self” with impactful community involvement – both locally and internationally. We build friendships as we serve together.

We provide grants to non-profit organizations who are working to benefit our community. We also volunteer to better our local community. Some recent projects are:

  • Restoring the public access to our South Sound Wildlife area
  • Attend CPR training provided by West Pierce Fire and Rescue
  • Helping organize so that over 20 local kids received school supplies and clothes
  • Volunteering at Oysterfest with the Shelton
  • Rotary and other community partners
  • Helping with the Ride For Courage by providing a lunch rest stop along with the Rotary Club of Puyallup and Tacoma South

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

Our Club activities and projects provide many opportunities to build our local networks. Through our travels and service, we also have the chance to connect with Rotarians in over 200 countries and geographic areas.

We have over 100 members and all are local business, nonprofit and professional leaders who care deeply about our community

MAKE FRIENDS & HAVE FUN

We are a social bunch. We enjoy informal happy hours, dinners at local restaurants, tailgates at sports games, symphony concerts, outdoor adventures and much more.
